This house was built for Joshua P. McCuistion, a prominent Rosebud County rancher and businessman. McCuistion was involved in a number of Forsyth businesses and real estate activities.

Work began in April, 1914, when McCuistion built a garage (since razed) on the lot, and the Forsyth Times-Journal announced that a contract "For a fine residence" would soon be let. The newspaper's May 25th issue noted that L.P. Wahl had begun work on the home, which "will have all the modern conveniences and will be one of the most costly in the city."

The home was later occupied by Whit and Elsie Carolan; Whit was a local lawyer and County Attorney, and Elsie was a well-known music teacher.

In 1980 David Lloyd and his wife purchased the home and lived there during the time he was superintendent at the Forsyth Schools. While living in Forsyth he was doing some writing in his leisure time. The story grew on him and he got his first book done in time for the Montana Centennial in 1989. Guests
of Lasting Impressions Bed and Breakfast

Keith and Jan Johnson were Lasting Impressions' very first guests. They were stationed in Spain at the time and traveled to Forsyth to attend the Quigley Shoot in June of 2003. Their granddaughter, Kristyn Roberts, was able to spend some time with them during their stay.

Jeannie and Boyd Brougher were on their way home in Oregon after biking along some of the Lewis and Clark trail when they decided to stop for the night at Lasting Impressions Bed and Breakfast.
In the past, Boyd had written a Bigfoot Cookbook and designed a "Bigfoot" pan in which all the recipes in the cookbook could be baked. In 1981, they traveled 17,000 miles selling the cookbook and educating people to the problems, etc. that surrounds epilepsy.

Dick and Susan Rogers stopped at Lasting Impressions Bed and Breakfast for a couple days on their trip across the USA on their tandem bicycle. The trip originated in Seattle, Washington, and ended up in New York where they attended Dick's 50th reunion at West Point. While Dick's reunion was the catalyst for the trip, the Rogers decided to make the adventure more worthwhile making it a fundraiser for a non-profit tutoring center in Redlands, California.

Janet Sperry had a pleasant stay at Lasting Impressions Bed and Breakfast while working across the street at the Forsyth Museum, helping volunteers catalog and organize items.

Jim Anderson, with the Montana Disaster & Emergency Services Division, found lots of room at Lasting Impressions Bed and Breakfast to prepare for his lecture to the Montana Clerk and Recorders' Convention.

Jonathan and Cheryl Christie were in town to visit friends. During their stay, they took pleasure in playing the piano, and on the last day of their stay, they enjoyed breakfast on the screened in porch - joined by their Forsyth friends.

Mary Brindley, from Winnett, Montana, enjoyed breakfast before attending one of the convention meetings for the Montana Clerks of Court that was held in Forsyth in 2003.

Stephen and Jill Jones, from England, were traveling through Forsyth after spending a day at the Little Bighorn Battlefield located only 90 minutes away.

Debby Haas, from Eastern Montana, stayed at Lasting Impressions Bed and Breakfast shortly in spring of 2006. She enjoyed her stay thoroughly, spending a fair amount of time in the main room, where she is pictured above.
